I’ve got debates on the brain!

Like many, I’m still reeling from last week’s presidential debate and all that came after. President Trump’s behavior was hostile and inappropriate, even by today’s divisive standards.

The presidential debate, in addition to tonight’s debate between Senator Kamala Harris and VP Mike Pence, has been on my mind as I prepare for my own debate with Jeff Fortenberry next Monday, October 12. Let me be clear:

I pledge to behave like an adult, focus on the issues and not personal attacks, and engage in a spirited and honorable debate befitting the U.S. House of Representatives.

I hope that Congressman Fortenberry will pledge to do the same.

So, with debates on the brain, I want to make sure I address all of your concerns when I go toe-to-toe with Jeff Fortenberry next week. Let me know the top-priority issues you’d like me to discuss, or any questions you would like to ask him.
