President Ronald Reagan knew a thing or two about Law and Order.

He took on the Soviet Union and brought America back to growth and strength. It was inspiring

My name is Derrick Van Orden, and I am a decorated Navy SEAL running for Congress. I am a proud veteran, husband, father, grandfather, and Christian. I joined the service and became a Navy SEAL just as Reagan’s term was ending. His moral example led the way for me.

Now, I am running for Congress as another example of what American leadership can be. Before I ask you for your help, I want to tell you a story about the Gipper that I think illustrates his strength.

Many people forget an incident from very early in Reagan's Presidency that set a moral tone:

America's air traffic controllers – all part of a public employee union - were getting ready to walk off the job. This meant gridlock in the skies, safety hazards, and an economic disaster for the nation starting to recover from the Carter Administration's "great malaise." Of course, a strike like this was illegal.

Reagan drew a tough but clear moral line: Walk off the job, and you're fired.

They tried to call President Reagan's bluff and walked off the job, but he wasn't bluffing - they were fired, and the union caved shortly thereafter.

It's a critical lesson from the Gipper we ought not to forget: A law is only as good as the backbone of the men tasked with enforcing it.

Now that the President is fulfilling his duty to name a Justice to the Supreme Court, the Democrats are doing everything they can to stop him. They have threatened to impeach him again or a member of his cabinet FOR NOTHING, to hold up the process until the election.

They would blatantly disregard the Constitution to get more power. Why do we keep allowing them to do this?

I will no longer sit back while Nancy Pelosi and AOC threaten our very Republic – I am fighting, and I need you to fight with me before it is too late.

I'm running for Congress to LEAD, and I need all the help you can get to stand up to my radically liberal opponent who is happy to watch your home burn as long as they can appease the mob. Liberal Ron Kind is a career politician who has forgotten what an oath to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic, truly means.

I'm a Navy SEAL who fought for the Constitution of this country against enemies abroad. I know firsthand we must confront our enemies to defeat them.

I'm not a politician - but if we have politicians like my opponent Ron Kind, Joe Biden, and the rest of the hardcore Left who won't protect this country, I stand ready to serve.
