We’re taking action to protect our environment and build a better future, friend.

Today, the Liberal government announced that we will modernize Canada’s Environmental Protection Act and move forward with our plan to ban harmful single-use plastics, including items like plastic bags, straws and take-out containers.

This is another important way that the Liberal government is taking bold action to protect a clean environment today and for future generations. We adopted the Oceans Plastics Charter in 2018, are investing $100 million to address plastic waste in developing countries, and banned products with plastic microbeads to protect Canadian freshwater and marine ecosystems.

Together, we can create clean jobs, protect Canada’s natural legacy, and stop plastic pollution from harming our oceans, lakes, and rivers.

Add your name now to support the Liberal government’s efforts to fight plastic pollution, and to protect a cleaner, healthier environment for future generations.

This is an important moment to shape our future. Thank you for being part of it.
