Together, we reached and surpassed our last FEC end-of-quarter fundraising goal of the election. This was no small feat for a grassroots campaign like ours that doesn't take a dime of PAC money, and we are overwhelmed with gratitude.

But we still have one more big FEC deadline goal to prepare for — our pre-general filing in exactly one week!

As the team shared with you yesterday, a pro-Roger Williams super PAC called the Defend Texas Fund — half-funded by a Republican megadonor who doesn't even live in Texas — is launching a six-figure TV ad buy in the district next week. They're hoping not only to blunt our momentum but to reach voters who are preparing to cast a ballot in-person early starting next Tuesday in Texas.

But that's not the only problem. Our opponent is one of the wealthiest members of Congress and has an arsenal of corporate donors — who, if asked, will do anything to hold his seat.

Reaching this next fundraising goal helps us increase our digital and television ad buys where we can, which are critical to answering the attacks Republicans are already throwing at Julie. But more importantly, it gives our field team the resources they need to get out the vote among likely and newly registered voters in our district who are ready to send Roger Williams packing.
