The Supreme Court recently announced it will hear two cases that could destroy voting protections against racial discrimination -- and if Amy Coney Barrett is confirmed in the coming weeks by the GOP-controlled Senate, a 6-3 conservative majority on the court could easily destroy our voting rights.

Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell are doing all they can to ram through a Supreme Court nomination and consolidate absolute power in the country's highest court -- acting directly against Ruth Bader Ginsburg's last wishes to respect democratic precedent and allow the next president to fill her seat. It has never been clearer that our health care, voting rights, and basic liberties are all on the line this election.

That's why today, we're standing against the GOP's brazen power grabs and demanding Mitch McConnell abide by his own precedent to wait until after the election to confirm a Supreme Court Justice nominee.

But McConnell will do anything to build control over the Supreme Court -- he has said that his Republican Senate will move forward with Amy Coney Barrett's confirmation hearings despite the fact that two Republicans on the Judiciary Committee have tested positive for the coronavirus, endangering all members of the Senate by exposing them to the virus.
