John,
BREAKING: a bombshell report just revealed the Department of Justice officials actively pushed for separating families -- KNOWING kids would be separated for weeks or even months -- as part of a strategy to punish families and harm children.
In former Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ own words: “we need to take away children.”
What kind of monsters would CHOOSE to separate thousands of children from their parents and guardians for no other reason than to cause families as much pain as possible … for no other reason than to fulfill a racist immigration agenda?!
This is the horrific, heartbreaking reality of immigration policy under the Trump administration laid bare. It shows just what we’re up against -- and the incredible urgency and ferocity we need to build to overturn it.
We need a sustained movement of people willing to go the extra mile to put an end to family detention and separation once and for all. Can you make a donation to help us build this movement?

For years, the Department of Justice (DOJ) has claimed they didn’t know kids would be separated from their families for extended periods of time -- and it was a complete LIE.
When some of these lawyers later declined to prosecute families who had babies with them, their superiors told them ”the ages of the kids didn’t matter” — families had to be separated to make a point.
We know the rest of the story. Thousands of babies were ripped from their parents’ arms. Many of them were not kept track of, and hundreds of children have yet to be reunited with their families over 2 years later.
The 2018 family separation crisis was a wake-up call for our country. It showed us that there’s no limit to what this administration will do to harm immigrant families and children—our friends, neighbors, classmates and community members. It also showed us that by working together, we have the power to stop our government’s cruelty.
This is a longer fight that starts with reuniting families and achieving justice and dignity for everyone harmed by our immigration system. Ultimately, we’re fighting for the soul of our nation and to transform our immigration system to reflect our values of care and compassion. Can we count you in?
We need a massive movement demanding justice and dignity for all families harmed by our immigration system—will you make a donation to help make this vision a reality.
We’re in this together,
Erin “Maz” Mazursky
