With so many crises challenging our country right now, the lack of substance at the first Presidential Debate was disheartening. I'm hopeful that tonight's Vice Presidential debate will be more informative, but I'm worried that one of the most pressing issues won't make it into the dialogue: climate change.

Climate change is a threat to the planet. It's affecting our daily lives right now and we must take decisive science-based action.

Although the first debate included a climate question, we could hardly call the conversation meaningful. The American people deserve to hear where the candidates stand so they can make an informed choice on their ballot.

I've co-sponsored a petition to urge the media and moderators to challenge the presidential candidates on the issue of climate change. Will you add your name and urge them to include climate change in their questions?
