There is so much you can do beyond casting your own ballot.

Friend --

The last week has been full of surprises, to put it mildly. One thing that shouldn’t come as a surprise, though, is that Election Season 2020 is well underway. And it won’t be over until every ballot is counted, which may take days or weeks after November 3rd.

Which leads us to an important question... how are you participating in Election Season? Once you’ve made a plan to cast your own ballot, we need you with us helping mobilize millions of Americans to vote early this year. And then helping us make sure every vote gets counted once the polls close.

Electing Joe Biden and Kamala Harris to the White House so that we can save our democracy is our number one electoral priority, but the truth is we need to flip the Senate too. Unless we flip the Senate and end Mitch McConnell’s reign as majority leader, we will hit roadblocks to progress every step of the way. And we’ve seen just how low Republican Senators are willing to go to protect Donald Trump’s dangerous vision for America.

So we’re taking all of it -- SCOTUS, the imperiled Affordable Care Act, Trump’s outrageous handling of his own COVID-19 diagnosis, his tax returns, McConnell’s hypocrisy -- and using it as fuel for what we need to get done over the next few weeks. Below are key ways you can contact voters directly to help defeat Trump, flip the Senate, and reclaim our democracy. Scan the actions below and find the one best for you:

Make a Plan to Vote
DO THIS FIRST. Take a second to make sure you are registered and have a plan to vote as early as your state allows -- and in person if possible. We encourage you to bookmark this page and check back closer to Election Day. We’ll be updating it with information about how to drop off your absentee ballot in person or vote early in person.

Volunteer With the Organizing Team
Sign up for a volunteer shift with the organizing team! If you caught the newsletter last month, you know that the Organizing Team is ground zero when it comes to registering and mobilizing voters. We’ll be reaching out to millions of voters in states with crucial Senate races, like MJ Hegar in Texas and Mark Kelly in Arizona -- and the more volunteers we have, the greater our impact will be.

Take Part in Vote Forward
Sign up to “adopt” unlikely voters and write them letters encouraging them to vote this fall. You can select voters in swing states with competitive Senate races, and include why flipping the Senate seat is crucial for the future of our country. The Big Send (when letters are mailed to voters) is happening on October 17th -- so make sure you don’t miss out!

Volunteer Directly for Biden and Must-Win Senate Campaigns
You can use this feed to find local events dedicated to flipping the Senate and electing Joe Biden. From Georgia to Arizona, there are nationwide volunteer opportunities to support crucial Senate races. Once you’ve signed up for a shift, invite a friend or a family member -- or both!

Sign Up for Protect the Results
Trump continues to cast doubt on whether or not he will accept the results of the 2020 presidential election if he loses. But it’s not up to him, it’s up to us. We are preparing to fight back with nationwide protests after the election if Trump contests the valid results, declares victory before all the votes are counted, or puts pressure on state officials to declare a winner before all the votes are counted. Sign up to stay in the loop.

The more people that vote, and vote early, the less of a chance there is for Trump to cast doubt on the results of the election. We need to win this thing in a landslide, which is why your commitment to taking action in one of many of the ways above is crucial.

We want to hear from you this week -- once you’ve signed up for one of the actions above, let us know how you’re helping out. Reply directly to this email with how you want to take action. After all, Election Season is not a spectator sport.

So much will happen in the next month. Glad we’re in this with you.

Eloise and Sami
