I wanted to come to you and respond to President Trump's statement yesterday that we can wait until after the election before agreeing on a coronavirus relief bill.

As I state in the video below, we cannot wait. We just can't. Absolutely not.

The stakes are simply too high for politics as usual. I know this because I've heard the pleas for relief from constituent after constituent, and in some cases, I've seen their tears. Americans are hurting as we manage through a pandemic unlike any other we have experienced.

It is shameful to think that the last stimulus bill dates back to March. The pandemic has stretched seven long months and counting.

And the last thing we need is to make this about Blues states or Red states. We are ALL going through this, and we must ALL come together to get our country back on track. The time to act is now.

Please, take a second to watch my message. And if you can, chip in $5 or whatever you are able to afford. If nothing else, this most recent development once again reveals why we absolutely must change the power dynamic in Washington and make sure that the people there actually care about serving the public and not just themselves.
