Indivisibles,

Are you ready for tonight’s Vice Presidential Debate? Or rather, are you
prepared to see Senator Kamala Harris go head-to-head with Trump’s number
one enabler, VP Mike Pence?

If so, before you watch tonight’s debate, we’ve got one critical action
for you to do -- reach out to all your friends, family, and neighbors and
ask them if they’re registered to vote! Being a voter is one of the most
significant impacts you can have on this election and the future of this
country -- and that includes organizing your social circle and motivating
them to join the ‘I’m a voter’ club. [ [link removed] ]Share ‘I Will Vote’ with them so
they can check their voter registration status.

Tonight’s debate is scheduled to air at 9:00 PM ET across all the major
networks and cable news programs. If you're watching online, NBC, PBS,
CBS, CSPAN, and ABC News have YouTube streams ready to go, and there will
be livestreams available on Twitter and Facebook.

Here are the key messaging toplines we’ll be watching out for during the
debate -- and we hope that you’ll use these themes in your conversations
with friends, family, and neighbors in the days leading up to the
election:

* Under Trump and Pence, COVID-19 has killed over 210,000 Americans and
now ravages an unprepared White House. Mike Pence is the head of the
White House’s Coronavirus Task Force and he has to answer for his
failed handling of the virus and outright dismissal of the facts.

* Pence and his Republican allies are prioritizing power grabs over the
needs of the American people by pushing ahead with a SCOTUS
confirmation. Instead of focusing on providing relief to the millions
of Americans who are struggling during the pandemic, Pence and
Republicans are committed to appointing a Justice who wants to
overturn the Affordable Care Act.

* Senator Harris is a historic leader for a historic moment. Joe Biden
chose Harris as his running mate because she understands the stakes of
this moment and her record shows that she values big progressive ideas
like Medicare for All and meaningful climate action.

Once you’ve had some impactful conversations with those around you, we’ve
got a few more things you can do today to make a big difference in the
coming weeks:

* [ [link removed] ]Sign up to phonebank with Windivisible and help us win in November.
Watch this training [ [link removed] ]video to help you (and your friends!) navigate
phonebanking so you can start making calls this week.
* [ [link removed] ]Call your Senators and demand that they refuse to confirm any new
Supreme Court Justices until a new president is inaugurated. With the
spread of COVID-19 on Capitol Hill, senators should shut down the
hearings to prevent a public health disaster.
* [ [link removed] ]Tweet at your Senators and demand they refuse to confirm any new
Supreme Court Justices. The last thing we need is an
ultra-conservative Justice who will strip away healthcare from
millions of Americans during a pandemic.

Finally, in the next four weeks, we’re
working extra hard to not only elect a president (and VP!) who are
committed to defending our rights, but we’re working to stop the Senate
from confirming Amy Coney Barrett. These two action items are going to
take an unprecedented amount of time, effort, and resources to pull off --
and we’ve expanded our budget to do it. If you can, consider [ [link removed] ]donating
today to fund all the resources we need to win in November, protect the
Supreme Court and democracy, and support all our work.

We know that the barrage of news in the past week can feel overwhelming,
but know that together we can truly make a difference in this election.
We’re channeling all our rage and fear into action, and we hope that
today’s to-dos and tonight’s debate give you a little bit of hope for the
days ahead.

In solidarity,
Indivisible Team
