Hi,
Trump isn’t just trying to ram another Supreme Court Justice nomination
through the Senate. He also wants the Senate to make acting DHS Secretary
Chad Wolf permanent.
If that name sounds familiar, it’s because he’s the guy who sent unmarked
federal agents into Portland a few months ago to snatch protesters off the
street.^1 Chad Wolf shouldn’t have this job at all, let alone have his job
become permanent.

Even just the act of sending secret police into a US city to capture
protesters in unmarked vans and take them to undisclosed locations is
abhorrent. But unfortunately Chad Wolf has a long rap sheet of atrocities.
Chad Wolf lied to Congress^2 about his involvement in separating children
from the families at the border. He also refused to follow a Supreme Court
order to reopen DACA applications for Dreamers.^3
And recently, reporters found out that under his leadership, DHS awarded
$6 million in government contracts to a firm where his wife is an
executive.^4
The Senate can’t just roll over and give Trump everything he wants. Chad
Wolf should be out of a job, not installed permanently.
