Dear friend,

The upcoming election presents us with an opportunity to preserve and conserve a habitable planet. That's why I'm hosting "Green The Senate, Save the Planet" on Thursday, October 8 at 8:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m. PT to support pro-environment champions running for Senate.

I hope you'll join me for a special musical performance, and conversation with top Senate candidates to discuss the just and equitable solutions they plan to enact as soon as they are elected. Crucially, we must elect a pro-environment majority to the U.S. Senate who will work alongside the pro-environment majority in the U.S. House for progressive legislation in 2021.

In a year that has been incredibly challenging, often overwhelming, and too often heartbreaking, it is easy to become discouraged. But future generations are counting on us, and I urge you to channel your energy in these final days before Election Day to help secure a pro-environment majority in the Senate. Click here to RSVP.

And, with the right leadership in place, we can build a better future and address the environmental crisis with the urgency it demands. We can ensure that everyone has clean air to breathe and toxin-free water to drink. We can work to reduce and mitigate the impacts from rising global temperatures. We can ensure that everyone — especially frontline communities who are often hit first and worst by climate disasters — can live in a safe, healthy, and sustainable environment.

We have the power to course correct, save our planet, and reshape our nation as fundamentally more just, equitable, safe, and healthy. And our best chance of doing that is to Green the Senate this November 3.

Please join me for this special event and musical performance on Thursday, October 8, in support of seven key Senate races.

All of the candidates are committed to tackling the climate crisis as soon as they are sworn in, but first we have to get them elected. Please consider contributing to their campaigns through GiveGreen and joining us on Thursday, October 8.

Sincerely,

Paul Simon
