Donald Trump’s SCOTUS nominee is awaiting a Senate confirmation, but Trump has already made it clear that he would like to see Roe v. Wade, the 1973 landmark decision that protects a woman’s right to choose, overturned. According to a CBS News poll, two-thirds of Americans want to keep the precedent set by Roe v. Wade -- and a large margin of voters have stated that reproductive freedom is one of the issues most important to them ahead of the election. This nomination is the GOP’s most aggressive move yet towards eliminating access to safe and legal abortions in America, and if Barrett is confirmed by the Senate, it could take decades to remove her anti-choice influence from the Supreme Court
