Hi John -
Oh my gourdness, it's finally Halloween season! Don't mind us pumpkin' out Halloween puns like it’s nobody’s business. We’re ‘creepin’ it real by working to increase access to abortion and advance reproductive justice.
Don't forget to ‘carve’ out some time to call your senators and tell them why they must not consider a replacement for Justice Ginsburg before inauguration. It’s easy! You can contact your senator by dialing 888-521-6658 and demand they stop Trump’s Supreme Court takeover.

Take Action
- Wisconsin’s Act 292 is a tool of reproductive oppression, and we won’t stop until Governor Tony Evers ends enforcement of this regressive law. Join us and take action here.
- Have you ever wanted to cast a spell to stop the anti-abortion movement? In any case, sign our petition to demand more access to abortion pills!
- Anti-science lies on social media threaten us all. As abortion rights supporters, we know it’s been going on for too long at Facebook, and it’s time to end it. Sign our petition now.
- We will not stand by as #BigProLife mocks marginalized communities and pushes its regressive ideology. Watch what they said now.
Prioritize Self-Care
In this moment of uncertainty, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed or helpless. Reproaction’s strategic plan affirms the importance of self-care, especially in activism and resistance.
Here are our self-care tips for October:
-
Trick or treat, yo’self! Whether it’s buying Halloween candy, watching scary movies or playing in the fall foliage, take time to enjoy the season. - Caitlin, Organizing Lead based in Alexandria, Virginia
-
Freshen up your space! A good tip for brightening up your space is to buy fresh flowers every two to three weeks. You should be able to find bouquets that range in prices at your local grocer. If you’re unsure of what to watch this month, check out Emmy nominated and winning shows. I suggest you start with Schitt’s Creek (Netflix), Watchmen (HBO), and Euphoria (HBO). -Eva, Organizer based in Columbia, Missouri
-
Try incorporating mindfulness! I personally have a lot of trouble staying in the moment when there seems to be too much to worry about, but bringing myself back into the present always helps calm my nerves. To start this, I usually focus on what I feel on my body, like an article of clothing or my glasses. Then, I start to look around and name things in my environment. I continue this with smells, tastes, etc. This brings me back into the moment and back into my body. - Nataley, Organizer based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Self-care is an act of resistance. Be good to yourself. For some tips on how you can reduce stress, check out this resource.
