From the beginning of the outbreak, I took this virus seriously and urged others to do the same. I listened to the doctors and scientists and followed every precaution, including wearing a mask, social distancing, and hand-washing. Unfortunately, I was recently informed that I was exposed to someone who had tested positive for COVID-19, and, after an initial negative test, yesterday learned I tested positive as well.
Upon learning of my initial exposure, I began self-quarantining, and will now remain in isolation for the duration of the illness. Although I am experiencing mild symptoms, I will continue my work virtually, both as your Representative as well as on the campaign trail.
