Yep. We're doing it.

Fellow Young Democrat,

Firing Mike Pence and making the Democratic Party a more inclusive space... all in 24 hours? Yep. We're doing it. Tomorrow night, join IYD for More Than a Hashtag ([link removed]) , a one-of-a-kind virtual diversity and inclusion webinar discussing the significance of diversity and inclusion. Tonight, join the Indiana Democratic Party and Indiana Stonewall Democrats for a virtual watch party of the Vice Presidential Debate ([link removed]) . This marks the first time in Mike Pence's life that he'll be sitting alone with a woman that isn't his wife, so grab a bag of popcorn and enjoy the show!

There isn’t a one size fits all approach to understanding the significance of diversity and creating a more inclusive space. To take steps forward, we must recognize our history, while also emphasizing the importance of relationships. Join us next week, October 8th at 6 p.m. EDT to take the steps together. Our very own young Democrat, Greg Stowers will join us for the discussion.

Greg Stowers is a lifelong resident of Indianapolis and has been focused on engagement, exposure, and empowerment throughout his career. He currently serves as Key Club International Director working on behalf of more than 250,000 students and 5,000 adult volunteers in more than 38 countries around the globe. He is also Principal at Liaison Consulting, focused in the areas of Diversity, Inclusion, and Strategic Communications. He’s worked on a number of political campaigns and started a non-profit initiative called Hashtag Lunchbag Indy, which has provided meals for more than 30,000 people around Central Indiana. He sits on various boards and works with community partners on various initiatives. He graduated from Indiana State University, with a degree in Political Science with a concentration in International Relations.

Admission is free for members. All non-IYD members or Young Dems at Heart must pay $10 to attend. If you are within the 14-35 age range, you can become a member for $5 and attend for free. Aren’t sure of your membership status? To check your status please email [email protected]
