In a moment, I’m going to ask you to chip in to our historic campaign in this battleground race. But first, I need to share a few things with you.

Folks, when I found out that Republican super PACs were pouring millions of dollars into negative ads here in our district, I was astounded. These outside groups are attacking my record -- they’re trying to run this race.

Then I saw that election forecasters have updated ratings for dozens of races across the country in favor of Democratic candidates. But they didn’t change ours -- we’re still barely above a toss-up.

And then there is my Republican opponent, who isn’t doing anything for MI-11. He wants to repeal the Affordable Care Act in the middle of a pandemic -- and he sued Governor Whitmer to distract her from responding to the COVID-19 crisis.

Team, we’re facing huge obstacles. But when I look out into the field and think about what’s going to get us across the finish line -- what’s going to make history in Michigan for this district again -- it’s people like you who believe in our vision, support our campaign, and help us do the work.
