We need more people in our government who know what it means to be a single mom. We need people who understand what it means to work hard to support their families. We need leaders who know firsthand how important Social Security is because they relied on it themselves. We need Theresa Greenfield in the Senate.

I won't lie -- winning in Iowa won't be easy, but I know a little bit about taking on tough fights. In 2018, we took back the House majority, and with the help of grassroots supporters like you, I became the first Democrat to represent my district since 1953.

I also know a little bit about Iowa. I grew up in a little Iowa town and like Theresa, I'm a farm kid. I know my home state, and I know Iowans. And I know we need a leader like Theresa Greenfield in the Senate.

Right now, Theresa is locked in a neck-and-neck battle against Iowa's extreme Republican Senator, Joni Ernst. The polls are showing her in the margin of error, and Cook Political Report has moved the race to "toss up." That's big news, because Democrats only need to flip four seats to take back the Senate majority -- Iowa is one of them.

Mitch McConnell and his allies are trying to stop Theresa by pouring more than $65 million in false, misleading attacks into this race. Unlike her opponent, Theresa isn't taking a dime from corporate PACs. Instead, she's relying on grassroots supporters to help her win.
