John,
Voting is important in every election, but the upcoming presidential election is especially critical. There’s so much at stake and the outcome will affect every one of us in intersecting ways, through health care, abortion access, LGBTQ+ rights, and more.
Give to our work of taking bold action, including direct action, making our allies stronger and our opposition weaker.
Right now, some are trying to make it harder for people to vote. During early voting in Virginia, supporters of the president forced voters to go around them to enter the polling place to cast their ballots. And the president himself has tried to cast doubt on mail-in votes, a necessary for many people as the pandemic continues to rage. [1]
No matter who you plan to vote for, don’t give in to voter suppression. Check your voter registration status. Make a plan. Vote.
And, if you can, donate to help our work encouraging others to vote.
With so much on the line, everyone must do their part in this election. Whether by mail or in-person, don’t throw away your shot to help shape the future. Vote because democracy demands it.
Sincerely,
Pamela Merritt

P.S. Voting is your voice, but money also talks. Give to support our work.
