The chairman of the Republican Party of Texas, Lt. Col. Allen West [[link removed]], says the anti-Trump Lincoln Project is “dishonorable, characterless, and devoid of integrity.”
The Lincoln Project, a pseudo-Republican group that was created to oppose President Donald Trump, has announced it will be spending more than $1 million in Texas to help elect Joe Biden, calling the move “Operation Sam Houston.”
“The members of the Lincoln Project have duly made themselves my opposition, an adversary, and I am focused on defeating them along with the progressive socialist left, the Democrat Party, here in the Lone Star State.” – Allen West
The Lincoln Project’s “Texas Leadership Team” includes lobbyists, GOP political consultants, and Washington staffers. A Texas grand jury has indicted the streaming service Netflix over their movie “Cuties,” charging the company for knowingly depicting “lewd exhibition of pubic area of a clothed or partially clothed child who was younger than 18 years of age … which appeals to the prurient interest in sex.” Jacob Asmussen has details of the indictment [[link removed]], which names CEO Reed Hastings Jr. as having “authorized or recklessly tolerated” the film’s release.
The Netflix film not only includes “many close-up shots of little girls’ crotches and buttocks,” but it also links young girls to pornography, discussions of sexual acts, a child photographing her genitalia, and more, as a review by the Daily Caller News Foundation [[link removed]] found.
Netflix immediately drew nationwide backlash upon the film’s release, including numerous petitions demanding the company remove the movie from its lineup. Nearly three dozen U.S. congressmen signed onto a letter calling for Attorney General Bill Barr to bring charges against Netflix for child pornography.
My family ended our subscription to Netflix [[link removed]] several months ago; we simply didn’t want the filth Reed Hastings’ company is producing and peddling coming into our home. Every family has a line, and Reed Hasting’s Netflix crossed ours. I don’t organize boycotts, but I do encourage people to remember their pocketbook can be a powerful voice. Newly released financial reports show Gov. Greg Abbott has used less than 0.2 percent of his political money to help Republicans keep Texas red. Brandon Waltens reports [[link removed]] the governor’s campaign has only donated $57,122 to Republicans since the primary runoff elections in July through September 24, the last date covered by the most recent reports. That figure includes a $25,000 contribution to the Republican Party of Texas.
With redistricting on the horizon, Democrats see a potential opportunity to redraw legislative maps in an effort to control the Texas legislature and the state’s congressional delegation for the next decade, and the threat of Texas turning blue lingers on the horizon.
In the Texas House of Representatives, Republicans have 83 of the chamber’s 150 seats, with Democrats holding the remaining 67. Only nine districts need to flip in the November election in order for Democrats to take control. In comparison, 2018 saw Democrats flip 12 Texas House seats from Republicans.
Just last month the Democrat Forward Majority PAC pledged $6.2 million in an effort to turn the Texas House blue, as part of a nationwide effort to flip state legislatures across the country.
This probably won’t come as a shock to you, but a city councilman in Austin has been endorsed by the Democrat Socialists of America. And the councilman is proud of it.
Adam Cahn reports [[link removed]] Gregorio “Greg” Casar has been an official member of the Democrat Socialists of America since 2017, but often tried to downplay the association. Not any more; Casar is bragging about the endorsement.
During his time on the council, the city has rushed to impose a Democrat socialist agenda. This includes: continuously voting to raise taxes; spearheading new mandates that have been proven to slash employees’ wages and cut jobs; fighting to stop the public from seeing how city hall spends their money; leading charges to defund the local police; and, allowing homeless individuals to camp in nearly all public spaces across the city.
