John,

I often wonder what my mother would think of me now.

When she was still with us, before we lost her to cancer in 2016, she was deeply concerned about politics and constantly glued to CNN and MSNBC.

We disagreed—a lot—during the 2016 presidential election cycle as her health continued to wane. As a Clinton supporter, she was eager to see a woman in the White House. I knew, however, that the failure of centrist Democrats to meet the needs of their constituents had opened the door to Republicans, so I supported Bernie Sanders.

More than once, I’ve given thanks that the 2016 election happened after my mother passed away. The cancer was enough for her to deal with. It broke her body—but the election results would have broken her heart.

My challenge to Pelosi today reflects a dream the likes of which neither my mother nor I ever imagined. As immigrants, merely being included is often hard enough. For me to challenge the most politically powerful woman on the planet for her seat in Congress is, to put it lightly, punching far above my weight.

That’s one reason I’m so excited about, enthused by, and grateful for all the support our campaign has received. I may be David confronting an electoral Goliath—but a sling has emerged, in the form of the tens of thousands of supporters who’ve joined us as donors and volunteers.

Together, we are unstoppable.

The future is, in fact, inevitable. It’s just a matter of time. But by then, it might be too late.

I’m running to replace Pelosi this year because we all know that the future can’t afford to wait.

Ballots are out, we've got 27 days left, and we need your support to get over the finish line.

You can help us reach those last few voters by joining us as a volunteer or funding our cause as a donor. In these last few weeks, every minute and every penny counts.
