Good evening, John --

I wanted to reach out directly today, the first day after ballots were mailed in our district and across the state of California.

If you’ve been reading emails from my team, then you already know that 8 percent of voters in our district are still undecided in this election. And with polls showing me neck-to-neck with my opponent -- those undecided voters will likely determine the outcome of this election in November.

This means that the clock is running out on our opportunity to get my message in front of those who need most to see it. John, my digital ads team has plans to expand our presence online so that we can expand our reach and frequency with undecided voters -- but we can’t do this without requisite funding.

That’s why I’m writing again this evening. The fact is that our online fundraising is losing steam -- and I need you to help shore up this operation. Can you donate immediately before you log off for the evening?
