Friend, transgender student-athletes are under attack.
This month, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) is expected to decide whether to continue to support transgender student-athletes by removing the 2021 NCAA championship games from Idaho.

In the early days of the COVID-19 global pandemic, Idaho enacted two egregious anti-transgender bills, HB 500 and HB 509. HB 500 bars transgender women and girls from participating in sports consistent with their gender identity, and subjects all female athletes to the risk of invasive, expensive, and inappropriate testing. It is a law predicated on fear, and not facts - it is motivated by anti-transgender discrimination and nothing else.
Not only is the Idaho law unfair, it is unnecessary. The NCAA already has a policy setting out parameters for how transgender athletes can compete, and Idaho’s discriminatory law directly contravenes it.
The NCAA also has a longstanding policy of not allowing schools who have discriminatory policies to be able to host tournament events. The NCAA should hold fast to this, and sanction Idaho for this overtly discriminatory law targeting transgender women and girls.
Tell the NCAA to Stand Up for Transgender Student-Athletes and Remove Tournament Games from Idaho.
Thank you,
