Rescuing Our Children Tour Summary
14,000 miles * 51 Stops * 2 ½ months * 6 people * 1 camper
Those are the final numbers of Alex Newman’s summer tour.
On May 17, Alex hit the road with his wife and four young sons, beginning an adventure that would take them – at times zigzagging and in circles – across the country and back.
This tour took them up the east coast, across the Midwest, down the west coast and across the south. When Alex wasn’t speaking at a venue, he was on the air being interviewed by big wigs like Alex Jones, talking to people via Skype, and filming for The New American. The more places he spoke, the more people requested him. Their camper became Alex’s mobile office, as the phone calls and emails were never-ending. After every speech, orders for the “Rescuing Our Children” issue of The New American poured in. By the time he hit Texas in mid-August, we temporarily ran out and had to go back to the printer a fourth time.
After this whirlwind of a tour, we're sure Alex and his family are grateful to be sleeping in their own beds again. But what a tour! It’s events like this that remind us of what The John Birch Society is all about – thousands of us working together to make a difference to save our republic!
A HUGE thank you goes out to all who made this tour possible -- whether it was by helping put together an event, donating money, or spreading the word. We couldn’t have done it without you! And an extra special thank you to Alex, his wife, and their four sons!
