** Chicago: At least 30 shot, three killed over weekend – bringing fatality total to 576 for the year

CHICAGO, IL – Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s city saw another violent weekend as at least 30 people were shot and three were killed.

The violence began Friday afternoon on South Oakland Avenue where someone opened fire on a 35-year old man and a 14-year-old girl in the street. The man died at the hospital.

RICHMOND, VA – Pretextual stops are on the chopping block in the state of Virginia. The state wishes to severely handcuff its police forces.

Recently, the State of Virginia has begun pushing forth new legislation which would prohibit officers from making what is termed as a pretextual stop. REDDING, CA – Within hours of his early release from jail due to overcrowding, a parolee with a lengthy and violent history was arrested Sunday on suspicion of murder.

According to the Redding Police Department, James Joshua Noyes, 33, was arrested Saturday, Oct. 3, after a domestic violence incident.
