The Light in the News
The Light at Joplin was chartered as a new United Methodist Church on Sunday, October 4. The church started four years ago in the building of the legacy church St. James UMC, which was rebuilt after being destroyed the Joplin tornado in 2011 but closed in 2014. The Light was supported as a new church start from the Missouri Conference Center of Congregational Excellence.
