LGBTQ people, especially people of color, are overrepresented in low-wage, low-income jobs. Concurrently, they are underrepresented in high-wage, high-quality jobs such as in the STEM field; increasing their representation in this field and others could help reduce poverty and homelessness. Building relationships between educational institutions and industries can help ensure more representation in high-wage jobs, specifically in the STEM field.

Please join the Center for American Progress to discuss how K-12, higher education, and industries can partner to establish pipelines and policies to ensure LGBTQ youth have access to training, mentorship, and good-quality, high-wage jobs.
