On Monday, October 12, the Senate Judiciary Committee will begin 3-4 days of confirmation hearings, with a final confirmation vote on the Senate floor expected as soon as the end of the month.

Democrats in the Senate and Leftist activists are already doing everything in their power to undermine the confirmation process and delegitimize Barrett’s image in the court of public opinion. We can’t let that happen.

We need to help our fellow Americans get to know the REAL Amy Coney Barrett, not the false image her enemies are presenting.

The truth is that Amy is well respected by legal peers and is described by colleagues as “generationally brilliant.” In 1998, she served a prestigious clerkship to Justice Scalia and like Scalia, is committed to upholding the Constitution (and not her own personal views). In 2017, her fellow law clerks (from all nine Justices) endorsed her confirmation <[link removed]> to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, writing, “Professor Barrett is a woman of remarkable intellect and character. She is eminently qualified for the job.”

Amy is also a woman of faith and family. She and her husband have seven children—a point she joked about when accepting the nomination, saying “The President has asked me to become the ninth Justice, and as it happens, I’m used to being in a group of nine—my family.” The American people will benefit from having a Justice that can relate to their lives. Judge Barrett is not an Ivy League elite that is removed from normal day-to-day life; she is an everyday American who understands how to balance a family and career.
