With the Smoke Cleared, Veteran Looks Forward to the Road Ahead

After years of battling with PTS, anxiety and depression, veteran Alan T. Pelletier was ready to seek help and begin to heal. Once he acknowledged the reality of his situation, Pelletier began looking for aid and found the VFW’s Unmet Needs program. “It’s only within the past few years that I’ve begun taking back my life and controlling my depression, instead of it controlling me,” he said.
