Dear friend,

During lockdown hundreds of supporters of our campaign found a new way to reach out and show solidarity with those in need of debt cancellation to help in the fight against Covid.

Up and down the country people have been taking and sharing photos with signs saying #CancelTheDebt. Can you add yours today?

We’ve all been busy writing letters, signing petitions, organising meetings with MPs – but without being able to come together and see who else is part of the campaign.

Now we can see there is a huge community of us in the UK and around the world who are proud to be calling for debt justice.

With only one week to go until the G20 Finance Ministers’ meeting, it’s more important than ever to keep the pressure up. Especially at a time when countries are having to make a decision between healthcare for their people, or debt payments.

Please take your picture and either send it to us by replying to this email or tweet using the #CancelTheDebt and tag us @dropthedebt
We’ll hand in your photos right ahead of the meetings where world leaders will be deciding whether or not to offer support for debt relief, to ramp up the pressure and so politicians can see the real people behind the campaign.
