Monday afternoon — before returning (prematurely) to the White House (which, astoundingly, he entered without a mask on) after spending the weekend at the hospital getting pumped full of pretty much every known treatment (proven and experimental alike) for the coronavirus — Donald Trump tweeted this:

“Don’t be afraid of Covid. Don’t let it dominate your life.”
How could a person be so lacking in compassion, so indifferent to the preventable suffering consuming the land he governs, so devoid of decency?

Though it provides no consolation whatsoever, the irony is that Donald Trump is the one who has allowed fear to dominate his life and his catastrophic response to the pandemic.

Trump is afraid of truth.

Trump is afraid of doing any real work.

Trump is afraid to admit mistakes.

Trump is afraid he’ll be exposed as a fraud.

Trump is afraid of the Tax Man.

Trump is afraid of losing.

Trump is afraid he’ll be held accountable for a lifetime of immoral and illegal conduct.

Trump is afraid to be seen as the weak, insecure, and cowardly man that he is.

Tell Donald Trump:

Take your own advice, Mr. President. Don’t be afraid to get out of the way so that public health experts can finally do what you should have done eight months ago — to get the coronavirus under control, to save American lives, and to give our nation a chance to recover.

Add your name.

Thanks for taking action.

Stay safe.
