Updates from GLAAD

Dear Friend,

DO NOT GET DISTRACTED. This is a critical week for the election and GLAAD is making sure you are equipped and EMPOWERED TO VOTE.

1. PLAN NOW AND VOTE: Voter Registration deadlines have passed and early voting has begun in a dozen states. If you can vote early, do it now, and then help get your friends to the polls.

2. PRE-DEBATE ROUNDTABLE: On Wednesday, GLAAD’s President and CEO, Sarah Kate Ellis, is participating in a pre-debate roundtable with VoteAmerica. She’ll be chatting with Mary Trump and other leaders about the power of the LGBTQ and ally vote.

3. ADD YOUR QUESTIONS: When the roundtable is over, turn to GLAAD’s Twitter to follow along with the Vice Presidential debate. Once again, we are fighting to add questions that will impact the LGBTQ community.

4. RSVP FOR SCREENING: On Thursday, GLAAD is screening Capturing the Flag - volunteers confronting voter suppression and discovering their presence enabled obstructed voters, especially minority voters, to cast their votes and be counted. GLAAD’s DaShawn Usher will participate in a panel discussion of the film following the screening. RSVP here.

There is a lot of news, and a lot to be worried about. But we are powerful, and we can determine the direction of this country.
