The American people have already begun voting in the 2020 elections, and they had been doing so even before the passing of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg prompted Senate Republicans to jumpstart their egregiously unfair push to force through Donald Trump’s extreme anti-health care nominee. Under no circumstances should the Senate consider a nominee until after the inauguration of the next president in 2021.
But even though the Senate is in recess until October 19 – due to the COVID-19 outbreak that we already know has infected the president, several White House staff, and a handful Republican senators – Mitch McConnell and Lindsey Graham are recklessly and ruthlessly pushing ahead with Trump nominee Amy Coney Barrett’s Senate confirmation hearing, scheduled for NEXT WEEK!
We’re organizing a week of action, culminating in a national virtual rally this Friday, to show Senate Republicans that we’re not going to sit by quietly while they ram through a nominee who would take away health care protections in the middle of a pandemic and threaten our fundamental rights for a generation.

The most important thing we can do now is to show Senate Republicans how many people their actions will harm – and to do that, we urgently need your help. Working together is the best weapon we have against Senate Republicans’ attempts to strip us of our health care rights and other vital protections.
