My friend, On the campaign trail, I made a promise to my son Gus that we would get a dog if I was elected Governor. The moment the results came in on Election Night, his first reaction (as noted by the Star Tribune) was to exclaim at the top of his lungs, “I get a dog!” He’s been reminding me of that promise ever since. And last week, I’m proud to say we delivered on that promise. I’m excited to introduce Minnesota’s new First Dog: Scout.

He’s been reminding me of that promise ever since. And last week, I’m proud to say we delivered on that promise. I’m excited to introduce Minnesota’s new First Dog: Scout.

Scout is a 3-month-old black Lab mix that we rescued from the local shelter Midwest Animal Rescue and Services. We’re lucky to welcome him into our family.
