Dear friends and allies,

ILCM is looking for volunteers!

The current opportunities open are:

Policy Intern: The policy intern will assist the Policy Advocate and the Executive Director to advance strategies for effective positive change and to defend against anti-immigrant initiatives in current immigration policies. Assisting with research and analysis of immigration policy proposals at the local, state and national. Attend meetings with community and grassroots partners as well as elected officials.

Citizenship Intern: The ILCM Citizenship Intern assists the ILCM Pro Bono Coordinator with the Naturalization and Citizenship for Children Pro Bono Projects. The internship is a great opportunity to learn an overview of immigration law, interact with clients, and gain hands-on case experience in a legal services office. The primary role of the intern is to support the Pro Bono Director and Coordinator in a variety of administrative tasks, as well as some client legal intake and follow up with prospective clients

Administrative Assistant Volunteer: The administrative assistant volunteer supports our administrative staff through all kids of duties, answering phones, greeting guest in our reception are, making copies, entering data in our database. Translations if bilingual, among other duties.

Development Internship: The Development Intern supports the development functions of the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota. As a nonprofit provider of legal services, development and fundraising efforts are crucial to the effective running of the organization. The position is an exciting opportunity to learn to "tell the story" of ILCM, a task which requires creativity, innovation, and organization. Development skills learned during an internship with ILCM will be applicable to a broad range of future work in nonprofit and philanthropy fields.

All positions are unpaid. Work study or academic credit can be arrange through your school. There is a required commitment of three months and at least 3-6 hours.

ILCM is grateful to the volunteers and interns who share their time and talents with our organization. These volunteers enable ILCM to expand our services in ways that would not otherwise be possible for a small nonprofit legal office.
