Hi John,
How are you feeling right now? Worried? Anxious? Like there's a heavy weight in your stomach that may or may not be made of spiders?
First: You're not alone! I've had stomach-spider syndrome pretty much every day for the last… four years!
Second:
There's a simple remedy -- organize.
Sitting on our couches and doom-scrolling through Twitter is not going to impact the election. Making a donation, signing up for a volunteer shift, texting all your group chats to make sure they're registered to vote --
that has an impact.
And Run for Something can help, too. We've got a couple of upcoming events to get you plugged in and soothe your election anxiety. Only 29 days to go… how are you helping to build sustainable, permanent power?

Last week, we spoke with Madison City Alderperson
Max Prestigiacomo, Democratic nominee for WI State Assembly
Francesca Hong, and activist
Nada Elmikashfi about the protest movement in Wisconsin, what it means to be a politician, and how they reconcile the tension between fighting on the inside and fighting on the outside.
And tomorrow, I chat with
Brittney Rodas who grew up working poor in the Poconos -- her dad was a veteran, an alcoholic, and struggled with mental health issues. He was denied Medicaid because his income from Social Security was $7 over the limit. Shortly after he died, Brittney decided to run for office -- now the 25-year-old mom of two is working her ass off to flip a must-win seat in the PA state House.

October 13th, 8:00 p.m. ET
There's no better place to turn our attention to next than the Keystone State, where Republicans are creating chaos to try to undermine the vote.
With Democratic Governor Tom Wolf being term-limited out of office and Republican Sen. Patrick Toomey announcing just yesterday that he'll retire when his term expires in 2022 --
the stakes to take control of the PA state legislature just tripled.
The state GOP is likely to get even more aggressive with voter suppression efforts. If they win this year, they'll be able to pass even more restrictive voter laws, gerrymander the shit out of districts, and lay the foundation for a GOP slam dunk in 2022 -- unless Democrats can flip the state legislature.
Want to learn how you can win PA for Dems in 2020 and 2022? RSVP now to meet our incredible candidates who are key to getting it done.
