It's important to me that you take a look at these recent polls.

Data for Progress Poll
Sara Gideon (D): 48% (+3)
Susan Collins (R): 45%

New York Times/Siena College Poll
Sara Gideon (D): 49% (+5)
Susan Collins (R): 44%

PPP Poll
Sara Gideon (D): 47% (+5)
Susan Collins (R): 42%

These numbers all look good for us. Sara is in the lead -- but only by a few points. And that lead could evaporate quickly unless we have the resources to fight back against the mountain of Republican attack ads we're currently facing.

So here comes the part where I ask:

When we first launched our campaign, nobody thought we could defeat a four term incumbent like Susan Collins.

Now, Sara Gideon is leading in most polls and our race is ranked "leans Democratic."

Our hard work is paying off -- but we can't get complacent. After all, our race is very likely to determine control of the Senate.

This is far too important, and we can't afford to take our foot off the gas.
