John, I’m a feisty farm kid who isn’t known to back down from a fight -- and my fight to flip this Senate seat in Iowa is no exception. But I’ll be honest with you: The polls are showing that this final stage of the election is going to be extremely tough.

Right now, a Monmouth University Poll says that I’m tied 47%-47% with my Republican opponent, Joni Ernst. There’s no question that this race is competitive, John, but these numbers show that Iowa is up for grabs.

In a state that Nate Silver’s FiveThirtyEight still has listed as a toss up in the presidential race, we urgently need to reach voters. Mitch McConnell and the GOP are pouring money into this race because they know just how tight it’s going to be. That’s why your support could not come at a more important time, especially since folks in Iowa can start voting as early as today.

The people of Iowa deserve better than Senator Ernst. Not only is she actively spreading debunked COVID-19 conspiracy theories, but she’s also rushing to fill a Supreme Court seat -- putting the future of our health care on the line.

Replacing her with a senator who will put Iowa families first is the first step toward bringing some decency back to the Senate.
