John,

Coach Lou Holtz — a national champion and member of the College Hall of Fame —
is set to receive thePresidential Medal of Freedom from President Trump.

There are few more deserving than Coach Holtz. He embodies the values of
family and faith and has led an extraordinary life. Last week, Mike was honored
to speak with Coach Holtz at a Catholics for Trump event in Wisconsin and
absorb some of his wisdom firsthand.

Coach Holtz touched on his faith and love of the game, and echoed former
Packers coach and all time great Vince Lombardi — “My priority has always been
my faith, my family, and football."

But he also talked about what’s at stake in 2020, why it’s so important to
make your voice heard at the ballot box this year, and why Wisconsinites should
support Mike.

We wanted to share some of Coach Holtz’s most memorable quotes from the event
with our grassroots community, so our team pulled some of the best together
below.

"If you want something bad enough, you'll find a way to do it. If you don't,
you'll find an excuse. Excuses are much easier to find than solutions.
Fortunately, President Trump finds solutions. He is totally committed to the
job. I want to be around people who want to achieve things.”

"We need to be the type of people that others can count on us in times of
need.  With all due respect Congressman Gallagher, that's usually unheard of
from a politician. Listen, I spent some time with Mr. Gallagher and you have
got something special. You make sure you get out and vote for Congressman
Gallagher." - Coach Lou Holtz

Mike also took the stage to share some thoughts on Coach Holtz and how his
legacy extends far beyond the football field.

"What comes through when you listen to Coach Holtz is not his record or
accolades in college football. Instead, it is the foundation he built based on
faith and family. And that is everything. That's why we're here. That's why we
live our lives. I want you all to join me in welcoming, not only one of the
most successful football coaches of all time, but a man who has built his life
on the foundation of faith and family." - Mike Gallagher

John, values like these are exactly what’s at stake on Election Day. That’s
why it’s important to follow Coach Holtz’s advice and get out and vote for
Mike.
