What’s at stake for you, John?
Whether it’s reproductive rights, voting rights, economic justice, gender equity, fighting police brutality, and on and on, we stand to lose so much if Trump is allowed to fill Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s Supreme Court seat.
That’s why I’m asking you to call your senators now and tell them why they must decline to consider any replacement for Justice Ginsburg before inauguration.
You can reach their offices directly here:
Senator Chuck Grassley (R), Washington DC Office: (202) 224-3744
Senator Joni Ernst (R), Washington DC Office: (202) 224-3254
Both of your senators have already made statements in favor of voting on Trump’s nominee, [1, 2] signaling that they don’t believe their constituents deserve a voice on who is the next Justice to serve on the Supreme Court.
Senator Ernst even balked at the idea that Amy Coney Barrett would help strike down Roe, [3] and Grassley matched her feigned ignorance by saying Barrett wouldn’t rule against the Affordable Care Act. [4] They’re absolutely wrong. [5]
All eyes are on our senators as we approach Election Day, but we need to hold their feet to the fire now and beyond. Call today.
Thank you,
Shireen Rose Shakouri

P.S. Dialing up a stranger can be nerve-wracking, but I promise that once you get started, it’s easy and worth it. Just call the number above and tell them, “I am a constituent and I demand the senator not consider a replacement for Justice Ginsburg until after the January inauguration.”
