John,
As your governor, my mission is to help every North Carolinian live a healthier, more abundant, and purposeful life. The health of our air and water is key to that mission.
When President Trump tried to open our coast to offshore drilling, we stood up and said not off our coast. We ordered Duke Energy to clean up coal ash basins. We fought to hold Chemours accountable for dumping GenX in our water. And we took action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and set a goal that we reach carbon neutrality by 2050.
The North Carolina League of Conservation Voters has stood with me in all these efforts, and this great organization has been doing this kind of work for more than 50 years.
I’m honored to be joining them for the Green Tie Awards on Wednesday night.
We’ll be celebrating environmental leaders, discussing the importance of this election in our fight to protect our environment, and you'll learn what you can do to help.
