Two years ago today, Susan Collins delivered a speech on the floor of the Senate announcing her support for Brett Kavanaugh. To me, and to so many women, it was the moment we knew that Collins had turned her back on us. It sucked the air out of our lungs, but it also energized us to make change.

I had traveled to Washington on an overnight bus full of women determined to make Susan Collins hear us. We pleaded with her -- and she ignored us.

On October 5, 2018 many of us pledged that we would never allow Susan Collins to win re-election. We have a chance to fulfill that pledge in 29 days. But we at the Maine Dems need to make sure we have the resources to see this through.
