Heritage Launches ‘Fight for America, Vote for America’ TV Ads
The Heritage Foundation today is launching a $1.1 million television ad campaign called “Fight for America, Vote for America” to expose the dystopian goals of the extreme left. The ads will run nationally for four weeks on four major news and entertainment channels. They direct viewers to Heritage’s website and encourage them to engage in various ways, including registering to vote. “The Heritage Foundation offers hope and won’t surrender to those who only offer havoc,” says Heritage President Kay C. James. “We will fight for America against the mob and against socialism and we’re asking millions to join us.” Learn more about what the ads will say and how you can help fight for America.

What Kind of Justice Would Amy Coney Barrett Be?
Even before President Donald Trump officially nominated Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the U.S. Supreme Court, voices on the left hurled vile personal accusations at her, trying to tarnish her reputation and her family. But who is Barrett, really, and what kind of justice she will be? Heritage’s John Malcom, vice president of the Institute for Constitutional Government, and Thomas Jipping, deputy director of Heritage’s Meese Center for Legal and Judicial Studies, answer that question for us by sticking to the facts. Conservative Leaders Spotlight Heritage President Kay C. James
Heritage President Kay C. James took the spotlight last week in two interviews hosted by conservative leaders. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and Rep. Andy Briggs, R-Ariz., asked James to share her vision for America’s future and the Supreme Court. On Gingrich’s podcast, “Newt’s World,” James explores how a return to America’s core values can help us overcome current social unrest and build a better tomorrow. “What I see are the great gifts we were given by our founders,” she said. In her interview with Biggs, James explains why Judge Amy Coney Barrett will make a fantastic Supreme Court justice. Heritage Foundation experts Jim Carafano and Becky Norton Dunlop made significant contributions to a new book edited by Texas state Rep. Tan Parker that serves as a guide for the states to advance conservative ideas. Former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, former Texas Gov. Rick Perry, former Florida Gov. MONDAY at 11 a.m., Heritage will host a virtual event looking at how Europe’s view of the threats posed by Russia and China have diverged from ours, and the risks this poses to national security and economic interests. The event will feature Dr. Andrew A. Michta, dean of the College of International and Security Studies at the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies. Michta will discuss his new essay, “U.S. Alliances: Crucial Enablers in Great-Power Competition,” which will be featured in the Heritage Foundation’s 2021 Index of U.S. Military Strength. TUESDAY at 11 a.m., Heritage will hold a virtual discussion to commemorate the third anniversary of the Women Peace and Security Act. Panelists will discuss how the United States can engage other nations to advance women’s liberty, dignity, and opportunity. This event will feature remarks from Rep. Michael Waltz, R-Fla.; Kelley Currie, the ambassador-at-large for global women's issues at the Department of State; and Stephanie Hammond, the acting deputy assistant secretary at the Department of Defense. This will be followed by a discussion between Susan Yoshihara, the founder and president of the American Council on Women, Peace, and Security; Mary Habeck, associate professor at John Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies; Lucy Usoyan, founder of the President Ezidi Relief Fund; and Nicole Robinson, research assistant for The Allison Center for Foreign Policy. WEDNESDAY at 10 a.m., Heritage will host a virtual event looking at the great strides the United States has taken in space and what the Department of Defense and NASA should do to keep that momentum going. The event features keynote remarks from Justin Johnson, acting deputy assistant secretary for space policy at the DOD. This will be followed by discussions with Dean Cheng, a senior research fellow at Heritage’s Asian Studies Center; Michael Gold, the acting associate administrator at NASA; and Henry Hertzfeld, a research professor and director of the Space Policy Institute at George Washington University and an adjunct professor of law at the GW Law School. THURSDAY at 1 p.m., Heritage will host a virtual conversation about the changing landscape of gun ownership in America and what this means for the larger debate on gun control. This event will feature Geneva Solomon, co-owner of Redstone Firearms in Burbank, Calif., and co-director of the California chapter of the National African American Gun Association; Stephen Gutowski, staff writer for the Washington Free Beacon; and Jacob Huebert, a senior attorney at the Goldwater Institute. FRIDAY at 10:30 a.m., Heritage will host a virtual analysis of recent efforts to strengthen the India-U.S. partnership while looking ahead to new opportunities for India-U.S. collaboration in a changing global environment. FRIDAY at 1 p.m., Heritage will host a virtual exploration of Judge Amy Coney Barrett’s most significant rulings and legal writings and her likely impact on the Supreme Court. The event will feature insight from Nicole Garnett, a law professor at the University of Notre Dame Law School; Jonathan Adler, a law professor and director of the Coleman P. Burke Center for Environmental Law at the Case Western Reserve University School of Law; and Dr. John S. Baker, a professor emeritus at the Louisiana State University Law School and visiting professor at the Georgetown Center for the Constitution and Peking University School of Transnational Law.
