TUESDAY at 11 a.m., Heritage will hold a virtual discussion to commemorate the third anniversary of the Women Peace and Security Act. Panelists will discuss how the United States can engage other nations to advance women’s liberty, dignity, and opportunity. This event will feature remarks from Rep. Michael Waltz, R-Fla.; Kelley Currie, the ambassador-at-large for global women's issues at the Department of State; and Stephanie Hammond, the acting deputy assistant secretary at the Department of Defense. This will be followed by a discussion between Susan Yoshihara, the founder and president of the American Council on Women, Peace, and Security; Mary Habeck, associate professor at John Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies; Lucy Usoyan, founder of the President Ezidi Relief Fund; and Nicole Robinson, research assistant for The Allison Center for Foreign Policy.
