Your actions can make a difference

Hello John,

I hope you are keeping well, despite the uncertainties we are facing into.

One thing that is certain, is that as we enter the final straight in the pre-budget horse-trading, your actions can make a difference and help ensure increased investment in young people and youth work in 2021.

The tremendous support from you and your organisations as part of our #youthworkchangeslives ([link removed][UNIQID]) campaign ([link removed][UNIQID]) to ensure the message gets out has been inspirational. Now we need one final push in the run up to Budget 2021.

Below I've summarised some of the key opportunities where you can lend your voice to the campaign
in its critical last 10 days.

Kind regards,

James

Today: ‘How's Your Head’ Launch

At 2pm Minister O'Gorman TD will launch "How's Your Head-Young Voices During COVID-19 ([link removed][UNIQID] ) " a report on mental health and well-being.

* Join the #HowsYourHead conversation on social media during launch to highlight #YouthWorkChangesLives messages ([link removed][UNIQID]) .

Wednesday: Members’ ‘Day of Action’

On Wednesday, October 7th, on our campaign ‘Day of Action’ we will be formally launching our Pre-Budget Submission: Providing the Pathway ([link removed][UNIQID]) and calling on all TDs and Senators to support our recommendation that Government invest an additional €4.7m in Youth Work in #Budget2021.

Action you can take
* Create and share your own messages on the day based on your work and groups, [link removed][UNIQID](campaign toolkit available on our budget campaign page ([link removed][UNIQID]) ) or share this message ([link removed][UNIQID]) .

Friday: tackling youth unemployment

On Friday, October 9th, in light of the high levels of youth unemployment, we will be calling on Government to invest in measures to support young people into education, training and good quality employment.

Actions you can take
* Post messages calling for investment in measures to tackle youth unemployment and/or share messages posted on @NYCInews ([link removed][UNIQID]) .

If you want to do more, check out the campaigners toolkit ([link removed][UNIQID]) for our Budget 2021 campaign.

If you have any queries, or need assistance with any of the above, drop me a line,
Kind regards,

James
