A Children's home supporting 4 young people aged 10 years to 19 yearswho arein long term carerequires Casual Children's Residential Social Care Worker.
The role requires an ability to: - Togive essential and personal care tochildren and young people with autism and learning or physical disabilities. - To establish positive relationships with the young people, assessing needs and risk. Working jointly in preparation, implementation, delivery and revision of care plans. - To ensure that the physical, emotional, religious, educational and psychological needs of children and young people accommodated within the home are met. - To support young people to meet their transitional needs when moving in and out of the home. - To support young peoplewith their medical andall round health needs. This includes administration of medication. - To ensure a high standard of supervision and support is provided to assist children and young people in combating the disabling effect of Autism and learning disabilities. - To facilitate access to appropriate life opportunities to children and young people with Autism and learning/physical disabilities that promotes the growth of the individual and inclusion.

Casual Residential Night Care Assistant at Wood View Childrens Home for children and young people with disabilities. Wood View offers permanent residential care to young people who have severe learning disabilities and physical disabilities, many of whom are on the autistic spectrum and who may exhibit significant challenges in management of their behaviour.
*The role requires an ability to:* -To give essential and personal care to children and young people with autism and learning disabilities. To establish positive relationships with the young people, assessing needs and risk. -To support young people during the night and support them in their bedtime routines. -To support young people with their medical and all round health needs. -To ensure a high standard of supervision and support is provided to assist children and young people with Autism and learning disabilities.
Applicants must have experience of working with people with disabilities.
The potholders primary responsibility, will be to ensure the physical safety and security of the children and young people during the night hours
You will need to respond to the needs of the young people with a wide range of learning disabilities and will be required to undertake domestic tasks and have general oversight of the building security.

* Ability to work in partnership and maintain professional relationships with young people, their families and relevant others.
* Ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team, to meet the needs of the young people on an individual or group basis

* Ability to work a rota covering shifts from 10pm to 7am.
