Celebrate Transit Week: Get Out the Vote for Transit

If this were a normal year, we'd be getting ready to meet you on the bus tomorrow, to gather at City Hall and call for the awesome Muni we need and that we know is possible.

Instead, for our 5th Annual Transit Week, we're staying safely distant while keeping an eye on wildfires across the state. We're looking at the 40 Muni lines that have been temporarily suspended, and may become permanently canceled or altered if we don't fight for their return.

Muni, and transit agencies around the Bay, never fully recovered from the last recession. And they won't recover from this one unless we make sure they get the funding they need. It is a difficult time, but we see a lot of hope as people are coming together to build a better future. So this Transit Week, we're focusing on building a better transit future. Join us!

Get Out The Vote!

Too many people think Measure RR is inequitable and/or unnecessary, when it will actually increase equity and is absolutely necessary for a strong, sustainable San Francisco and Bay Area. Can you help with phone banks, text banks, or taking neighborhood walks to help get out the vote for Measure RR?

October 9: Rider First Awards & 10th Anniversary!

As we fight for public transit funding, we continue to build the pro-transit movement and pro-transit leadership. We have a growing coalition of almost 50 neighborhood, merchant, and advocacy groups from every district calling for a strong transit recovery (add yours here!). More and more of our city leaders recognize the essential role that Muni plays in our city and are also working to support transit.

This is a very different picture from even just a few years ago, and it's because of all the people who have helped make us what we are, who have volunteered their time to help us grow and to work on our campaigns over the past 10 years.

So let's celebrate this Transit Week after all, if only online.

Join us, other riders, and city leaders this Friday at 5:00 pm for our Rider First Awards - honoring the people who have done so much this past year to keep Muni going, and to improve the rider experience.
