Hey John — Team Biden/Harris and the California Democratic Party have teamed up to host the VP Debate Pre-Party: Kamala Making HERstory, October 7 at 5 – 5:30 p.m. (PST) We’ve elected more women to Congress than any other state, with 41 U.S. representatives since 1923. We have 38 women in the legislature in Sacramento working every day to make California a brighter and more beautiful place for all of us to live. And now, we have a California woman taking the center stage as the first woman of color to accept a major party nomination for Vice President of the United States of America. Simply put, California women are showing the rest of the nation how it's done. Our speakers include LA County Supervisor and Co-Chair of the Latino Leadership Committee for Team Biden/Harris, Hilda Solis; 45th Mayor of San Francisco and the first African-American woman Mayor in the city's history, London Breed; BART Board President, Lateefah Simon, and other trailblazing women in the State of California.
