We
can take back the Senate this year, friend.
Electing Joe Biden is how we start taking on the climate crisis, but that is just the beginning if we hope to make real change in this country. Over the past two years, the Democrat-led House has been passing bills to secure voter protections, fully fund the USPS, and work on the climate crisis. None of these bills, including the bipartisan ones, have moved forward because of the GOP-controlled Senate and Mitch McConnell. Even now, at the apex of hypocrisy and cynicism, they are planning on fast-tracking a Supreme Court nominee amidst an election.
The surest way to take away Mitch’s singular ability to halt progress is by ensuring that the Senate has a Democratic majority. It is the only way that we will be able to pass legislation to address COVID-19, our economic recession, and the climate crisis.
That’s why, I’m excited to announce our upcoming event “
Green the Senate, Save the Planet”
with Paul Simon — a conversation and concert benefiting several key Senate candidates: Barbara Bollier (KS), Governor Steve Bullock (MT), Theresa Greenfield (IA), Jaime Harrison (SC), Jon Ossoff (GA), and Raphael Warnock (GA).
