Access to affordable health care can’t come with a question mark. It’s too important to Wisconsin families.

The cost of life-saving prescription medication is too high. Just calling an ambulance can rack up a bill of more than you make in a month. And the average hospital stay can cost more than a small car.

None of these costs factor in the emotional stress of being sick, let alone the toll it takes on folks who live paycheck to paycheck. It doesn’t cover the emotional trauma of living with a pre-existing condition and knowing that it could send your family into bankruptcy.

But still, the Washington GOP and Mike Gallagher are bent on repealing the Affordable Care Act that over one million Wisconsinites have used to get insurance.

Amanda is ready to lead the fight to lower prescription drug costs, protect and expand the ACA, and stand up to insurance companies for people with pre-existing conditions.
