John, Before I took office, MCSO was known for letting hundreds of crimes against children fall by the wayside. So from day one, I knew child safety had to be a top priority for MCSO. To ensure we never miss on any case, we created a new internal auditing system to track every crime against a child so that our special investigators can keep close track of these cases and make sure nothing slips through the cracks. MCSO was also the first organization to hold a statewide school safety forum, where we brought community leaders to the table — including legislators, national safety and behavioral health experts, educators, and parents — to discuss ways to improve safety on our school campuses. How we treat and protect our children defines who we are as a community. This was a priority from day one on the job for me, and I will continue to diligently work to ensure our young ones are kept safe. We’ve made immense progress to keep our children safe, and I hope you’ll join me in moving us forward even further. If you’re able, will you consider making a contribution to my re-election campaign so that MCSO can continue setting the bar for child safety?
Thank you for standing with me in this critical fight, — Sheriff Paul Penzone
